About Jane Timken
Jane Timken is a proud Ohioan, conservative leader, businesswoman, and attorney dedicated to fighting for the values that make our state and country great. After her appointment to the Ohio Senate in January of 2025, Jane proudly represents the 29th District, encompassing most of Stark County, including Canton, Alliance, Canal Fulton, Louisville, Massillon, and North Canton.
Jane learned the value of hard work, integrity, and perseverance from a young age. These Midwestern values have guided her throughout her life—whether in her education, career, or public service.
She earned her undergraduate degree from Harvard University before obtaining her Juris Doctor from American University Washington College of Law.
After earning her J.D., Jane began her career as a lawyer before transitioning into politics. She served as a magistrate and law clerk in Stark County’s court system before being appointed vice chairman of the Stark County Republican Party in 2010. In 2017, Jane made history as the first woman ever elected Chair of the Ohio Republican Party.
Jane worked tirelessly to unite conservatives, strengthen the party, and deliver victories up and down the ballot. She led a dynamic grassroots movement that engaged voters across Ohio, advocating for policies that supported law enforcement, safeguarded constitutional rights, and put Ohio’s families first. Under her leadership, Ohio solidified its position as a stronghold for conservative values, advancing policies that promoted job growth, lower taxes, and a stronger economy.
As a wife, mother, and lifelong advocate for conservative principles, Jane knows firsthand the challenges that families face. Whether it’s skyrocketing inflation, government overreach, or attacks on our values, she is committed to fighting for policies that strengthen our economy, create jobs, and keep Ohio families safe and prosperous.

Keeping Taxes Low
Ohioans are tough, hard workers, especially the folks right here in Stark County. Jane Timken knows we should keep as much of the money we earn as possible, and businesses should be free from crushing financial burdens so they can hire and grow.

Creating Good-Paying Jobs
It’s time to make Ohio more competitive so people in Stark County have new opportunities to provide for their families and pursue fulfilling careers.
Jane Timken is working with local small businesses to enact tax and regulatory reforms and cut government red tape. She wants to make sure employers can focus less on paperwork and more on creating jobs.
Fighting Inflation
Ohioans are still reeling from Joe Biden’s disastrous, inflationary policies. Our family budgets and businesses need relief.
Jane Timken will continue putting Ohioans first in the State Senate, supporting legislation that lowers our cost of living, makes groceries and medicine more affordable, and ensures homeownership is once again attainable for young families.
Protecting the Second Amendment
Hunting and shooting are part of our Stark County way of life, and they aren’t going anywhere as long as Jane Timken is in the State Senate.
Jane wholeheartedly believes in our right to keep and bear arms, and she won’t let gun-grabbing liberals get their way in the Statehouse.
Fostering Energy Independence
Jane Timken will fight to expand Ohio’s energy production, creating good-paying jobs and lowering costs for families. She opposes federal overreach that threatens our state’s energy independence and will work to cut burdensome regulations that hurt Ohio workers.
