“Tim Ryan’s record proves he is nothing but a rubber stamp for the radical left and Pelosi’s guy in Ohio. Ohio needs a Senator that will put Ohio interests first – not Nancy Pelosi’s. I will proudly be that America First champion for all Ohioans.” – U.S. Senate Candidate Jane Timken
Background:
According to Cleveland.com, “a google search for ‘Tim Ryan considering’ yields about 17.4 million results.’” But now that perennial seeker of higher officer has finally decided to announce a candidacy, here are some important things to keep in mind:
Ryan has voted 100% in lockstep with Nancy Pelosi over the last two years: “disagreed on 0 votes out of 75 votes in the 116th Congress.”
Ryan is a founding member of the “Medicare for All” caucus and co-sponsored Rep. Pramila Jayapal’s government-run healthcare bill that goes even further than Bernie Sanders’ proposal.
Just last week, Ryan voted to grant DC statehood – a move that would diminish the voice of his own constituents.
Instead of calling out Biden’s “infrastructure-in-name-only” bill, Ryan has said his “only critique” was that the $2 trillion bill wasn’t big enough.
Ryan, a former vocal opponent of abortion who seemingly changed his tune to fit his Party’s litmus test, now wants to get rid of the Hyde Amendment and advocates for taxpayer-funded abortions.
Ryan’s radical climate agenda includes supporting the rejoining of the disastrous Paris Climate Agreement and advocating for the elimination of fossil fuel subsidies.
Though Ryan has been in Congress for nearly 20 years, he is ranked in the bottom percentages of the nation’s most effective legislators.
With this record, how can Ryan expect voters to give him a promotion?
