Jane Timken Launches New Broadcast TV Ad Vowing to Protect Women’s Sports

March 28, 2022

“It’s Time to Fight Back”
CANTON, OH – As part of the campaign’s seven-figure broadcast TV buy, U.S. Senate candidate Jane Timken launched a new ad, titled “Compete,” standing up to protect women’s sports.

“As a former college rugby player and a mom to a daughter, this fight is personal to me,” said Timken. “In pursuit of their woke agenda, the Left is erasing opportunities for women. This is about fundamental fairness and standing up for what is right.”

Watch Timken’s new television ad HERE.

The script reads:
“I’m Jane Timken. As a mom and former college athlete, I know how important women’s sports are.

They teach our girls to be winners.

But the Biden Democrats want to force our daughters to compete against men in the pool and on the court.

It’s outrageous! From ruining girls’ sports to Critical Race Theory, the liberals are trying to destroy this country.

I’m Jane Timken and I approve this message because it’s time to fight back.”

Timken has made combating Critical Race Theory and empowering Parents’ Rights in education a signature issue

This ad will begin tomorrow and is a continuation of the seven-figure buy running on broadcast in Cleveland, Cincinnati, and Dayton, while also appearing on Fox News in those markets and in Youngstown.

Timken boasts an impressive roster of supporters including endorsements from U.S. Senator Rob Portman, 180 Ohio elected officials, Senators Joni Ernst, Shelley Moore Capito and Deb Fischer, House GOP Conference Chair Elise Stefanik, South Dakota Governor Kristi Noem, and conservative women’s groups VIEWPAC, Maggie’s List, and Winning for Women. Timken also has the support of Former Trump Campaign Manager and White House Senior Counselor Kellyanne Conway, and Former Trump campaign team Corey Lewandowski and David Bossie.

WATCH

Voiceover: “Mike Gibbons and Josh Mandel have proven they can’t beat Tim Ryan.” (Mandel and Gibbons altercation)

Jane Timken: “You’ve got a choice in this race. Who do you trust to fight for the America First agenda? Well as you’ve seen, we’ve got a lot of show horses in this race. But I’m a workhorse. If you want someone who leads with grit and grace and gets things done then I’m your candidate.”

The ad continues by highlighting Gibbons’ sexist worldview that was on display during this week’s debate:

Mike Gibbons: “Jane Timken. Best I know before she became Deputy Chair of the Stark County Republican Party. Barely worked.”

Debate Moderator, Colleen Marshall: “Do you believe that women in this country have never been oppressed?”

Mike Gibbons: “I think when they weren’t allowed to vote they were probably oppressed.” (remarks continue)

Jane Timken: “This is an example of the arrogance of Mike Gibbons…Look women have a voice and I’m a mom on a mission to take our country back.
We need leaders like me who understand the plight of families, who’ve been fighting in the trenches for the America First agenda.”

Voiceover: “Jane Timken is the Trump conservative who can beat Tim Ryan.”

Jane Timken: Mike Gibbons’ Comments, Behavior Are Disqualifying

March 22, 2022

“This is Tim Ryan’s Dream”

CANTON, OH – After two embarrassing debate performances from Mike Gibbons, U.S. Senate candidate Jane Timken highlighted the risk he poses to keeping Ohio’s Senate seat in Republican hands.

“Mike Gibbons’ comments and behavior in the past two Senate debates are disqualifying,” said Timken. “Disqualifying for the Primary Election and disqualifying for the General Election. This is Tim Ryan’s dream. Democrats will expose and defeat Mike Gibbons and we cannot risk that with our country at stake.”

“This is a serious position that deserves serious leadership, and we’ve clearly seen that Mike Gibbons is not ready for primetime,” added Timken. “Between his childish behavior and vulgar comments in the FreedomWorks debate, and his misogynistic and anti-women comments in last night’s debate, Mike Gibbons cannot be trusted to win Ohio and represent the nearly 12 million people of this great state.”

You can watch the cringe-worthy exchange where Gibbons’ fumbles and stumbles through trying to explain his comments that Timken has “barely worked” – despite being a lawyer, Magistrate, first female Chairwoman of any political party in Ohio and mother of two – and his blatant need of a history lesson on women’s rights HERE

And in case you missed the viral, embarrassing fight between Gibbons and Mandel on Friday, you can see it HERE.

In the debate Monday, Timken called out this behavior: “Josh Mandel and Mike Gibbons acted like children, and if I were their mom, I would have grounded them.”

In Ohio Senate Debate, Jane Timken Holds Opponents Accountable: “They’re All Talk. I’ve Done It.”

March 21, 2022

Timken a Mom on a Mission to Take Our Country Back

CLEVELAND, OH – U.S. Senate candidate Jane Timken’s record of results stood out in tonight’s field of candidates who are all talk, but no action.

“I’m a mom on a mission to take our country back,” said Timken. “I’ve put over 150,000 miles on my car fighting for the America First agenda. At all the rallies, bus tours, door launches and events, I saw a lot of things – but Josh Mandel, Mike Gibbons and JD Vance weren’t one of those things.”

Timken also called out her opponents childish behavior on Friday night:
“What we saw in Friday night’s debate was an embarrassment. Josh Mandel and Mike Gibbons acted like children, and if I were their mom, I would have grounded them.”

Timken emphasized the choice Ohioans have in this race: “There are a lot of people who are all talk. There’s a lot of show horses, but I’m the work horse. No one has spent more time with Ohio families, businesses and communities. We saw two people on the stage on Friday fight for themselves, but I’m in this race to fight for Ohio.”

Ohio Law Enforcement Officials Support U.S. Senate Candidate Jane Timken

March 10, 2022

Over 180 Endorsements for America First, Grassroots Candidate

“No candidate in the race for U.S. Senate has championed Ohio’s incredible men and women in law enforcement like Jane Timken. Today, I am excited to endorse her because I know that she will be a fierce defender of police officers who are on the front lines every day. Jane understands what it means to be ‘back the blue,’ and has taken the time to listen to officers all over Ohio to determine how she can best serve them once elected. I look forward to having an advocate like her in the U.S. Senate.” – Ashtabula County Sheriff William Niemi

“Jane Timken is the type of person we need in the United States Senate. She believes in keeping our communities safe and supporting the men and women in Blue. A person of her caliber is exactly the type of person Ohioans want to take over for Senator Portman and follow in his footsteps.” – Washington County Sheriff Larry Mincks

In addition, the Franklin County Chiefs Association sent the following Letter of Support stating:

“On behalf of the Franklin County Chiefs Association, I would like to thank you for your support of local law enforcement over this past year. It is not often that U.S. Senate candidates or incumbents take time out of their schedules to interact with law enforcement about the issues we face each day on a local level…There is no doubt in our mind that you are committed to a safer Ohio and to the men and women who provide that safety.”

The full letter is below:

“Instead of being respected and honored, police officers across Ohio are demoralized, denigrated, and defunded by the Left and their anti-law enforcement agenda,” said Timken. “In the U.S. Senate, I will be a fierce ally to law enforcement by standing against this nonsense and ensuring police officers have the resources they need to keep Ohioans and themselves safe.”

These add to other endorsements from Ohio law enforcement officials including:

  • Dewey Stokes – Former President of the National Fraternal Order of Police
  • Matt Treglia – Allen County Sheriff
  • Brian McLaughlin – Columbiana County Sheriff
