March 10, 2022

Over 180 Endorsements for America First, Grassroots Candidate

CANTON, OH – U.S. Senate candidate Jane Timken is proud to announce the endorsement and support today of law enforcement officials across Ohio. Timken has made supporting Ohio’s police officers a key tenet of her campaign and has participated in multiple police ride-alongs, department tours, and roundtables with Sheriffs and officers across Ohio.

“No candidate in the race for U.S. Senate has championed Ohio’s incredible men and women in law enforcement like Jane Timken. Today, I am excited to endorse her because I know that she will be a fierce defender of police officers who are on the front lines every day. Jane understands what it means to be ‘back the blue,’ and has taken the time to listen to officers all over Ohio to determine how she can best serve them once elected. I look forward to having an advocate like her in the U.S. Senate.” – Ashtabula County Sheriff William Niemi

“Jane Timken is the type of person we need in the United States Senate. She believes in keeping our communities safe and supporting the men and women in Blue. A person of her caliber is exactly the type of person Ohioans want to take over for Senator Portman and follow in his footsteps.” – Washington County Sheriff Larry Mincks

In addition, the Franklin County Chiefs Association sent the following Letter of Support stating:

“On behalf of the Franklin County Chiefs Association, I would like to thank you for your support of local law enforcement over this past year. It is not often that U.S. Senate candidates or incumbents take time out of their schedules to interact with law enforcement about the issues we face each day on a local level…There is no doubt in our mind that you are committed to a safer Ohio and to the men and women who provide that safety.”

The full letter is below:

“Instead of being respected and honored, police officers across Ohio are demoralized, denigrated, and defunded by the Left and their anti-law enforcement agenda,” said Timken. “In the U.S. Senate, I will be a fierce ally to law enforcement by standing against this nonsense and ensuring police officers have the resources they need to keep Ohioans and themselves safe.”

These add to other endorsements from Ohio law enforcement officials including:

  • Dewey Stokes – Former President of the National Fraternal Order of Police
  • Matt Treglia – Allen County Sheriff
  • Brian McLaughlin – Columbiana County Sheriff
  • Joe Deters – Hamilton County Prosecutor
  • Matt Crall – Crawford County Prosecutor
  • Cindy Abrams – State Representative and Former Police Officer
  • John Jordan – Former Smithfield Chief of Police
  • Don Roberts – Former Police Officer
  • Adrian King – Director of Greene County Public Defenders Office
